Bio

Barb Steinberg is a tween/teen girl expert, parent coach, teen life coach and speaker on parenting girls who transforms the lives of adolescent girls and the adults who care about them. Both girls and adults find her extremely easy to relate to, open, warm and funny. Barb is gifted at balancing emotion and intellect and serving as a catalyst for long-lasting change.

Barb is a licensed, masters-level social worker with over 30 years of experience working with teens as well as a certified Teen Life Coach.

Barb is the proud mama to one son, Jack, (go figure!) and lucky wife to Jeff. When she’s not spending time with her family or working to launch a new generation of confident, happy young women, Barb loves to explore Austin’s latest restaurants, see the newest movies, hunker down with a good book and plan vacations to faraway places.

Do you want Barb to help you in the comfort of your own home?

Barb as a Speaker

Testimonials

I wanted to thank you for coming to our school to present. I’ve been to every seminar, speaker, talk, …you name it. Yours was the best I’ve been to – content-rich, interesting and immediately helpful to daily life with my teens (and myself!).

Mother of a Middle Schooler

I absolutely loved, loved, loved your talk and attitude about life and girls in today’s world. I wish I could take your thoughts and words and stick them in my brain.

Lisa, Mother of a 12-year-old

Barb’s workshops are relevant to today’s families and delivered in a conversational, accessible, yet informative way.  I’ve attended several of her workshops and always come away with specific things to do and say in those instances when I feel “stuck” or at a loss for words with one of my daughters.

Bev, mother of a 14-year-old and 20-year-old

At our winter conference for working and entrepreneurial moms, Barb Steinberg took the serious topic of teens and sex and made it relatable to everyone in the room. She is smart, witty, personable. Barb was definitely the hit of conference…Barb Steinberg is a meeting planner’s dream!

Barb as a Coach

Testimonials

Barb was such a great source of support during a difficult time for me. She helped me navigate specific issues as well as broader concepts. Our work together has really helped improve the flow of communication between me and my kids!

L

Parent coaching with Barb provided me with a safe place to share all of my concerns and fears about parenting. I most certainly walked away with some good pointers and strategies! I felt so much better when I left because I had a plan with new ways of responding to my girls.

Anna, mom to a 9 and an 11 year old girl

Going to Barb for life coaching helped me with all the pressure and stress I was feeling about senior year and trying to get into college. She helped me find ways to deal with all the stress and actually have fun my senior year instead of being stressed out all the time.

Sierra, 17

I used to dread going to school because of how I was treated by some girls. Barb has taught me ways to deal with them. It has helped me to stand up for myself and find friends that are actually nice.

Kaley, 15

Testimonials

Barb packed such important information into her webinar Letting Go of Your Little Girl; I was left wanting more & more. She knows teen girls and really speaks to their benefit!

Mom of a 14-year-old

I can’t believe how much great information I received from Barb’s online course, Girls’ Friendships 101. I really needed help. My daughter was having a hard time with the girls at school, and this gave me all the information that I needed to know how to help her. I will be referring back to this for years to come!

Mom of a 12 year old

I REALLY enjoyed listening to Barb’s Creating Happiness Teleseminar…a lot of what she said hit home…I want to replay it weekly. I like how she shared personal examples to highlight almost all of her points…Her voice was as if I was listening to a friend and not a ‘counselor’, which could help me relate more and find comfort.
