This workshop is for any parent who wants to arm themselves with important information on these topics and wants to learn effective communication tools to have constructive conversations that make a positive impact on their teens. This is for any parent feeling worried or scared about their teen daughter's choices or her future choices.
What we will cover:
- How the adolescent brain is wired for risk
- Creating healthy risks for teens
- How to know if your daughter is at risk for dangerous choices
- What protects our kids from risky choices
- Facts about alcohol and drugs that all parents should know
- Resources for your girls regarding sex
- How to have these touchy conversations before your teen experiments
- How to respond after they have made a “risky” choice

Workshop details:
We’ll meet in a location in south central Austin (near Zilker Park) from 12:00 - 1:30pm on Friday, February 10th.
Bring a water bottle, a journal, and a pen. Please feel free to bring your lunch.
